‘Dr. Shyamapada Tripathi Library’ at DMHRC functions as ‘Information Resource and Training Center’. It caters information need of ‘Clinicians and Residents’ of multiple specialties. It holds State of the Art collection of Books, Journals, Clinics, Audio-Visual material, Theses along with databases BMJ, Ovid, Springer, ClinicalKey and ScienceDirect.

DMHRC is Institutional Member of DELNET & National Cancer Grid (NCG). It allow access to Knowledge Gainer portal of eJournals / eBooks / Articles / Institutional Repositories, ViSiOn portal of lecture videos, Akshara (J-Gate) Discovery tool, Digital Document Delivery, Training assistance and so on. It also serves Document Delivery and Inter Library Loan to Users.

Library always pay great attention on Users’ information requirements and convenience as well. It uses Library Management software, Koha. User friendly web-OPAC of Koha provides quick approach to library’s catalogue, e-Resources and Services. Especially, web-OPAC is used to disseminate relevant information on demand as well as in anticipation.

To dissemination of information at point of care, Library has facilitated Remote Access to all Resources and Services through Application MyLOFT i.e. ‘My Library On Finger Tips’. It functions with Mobile App as well as Web App with single time login. It incorporates easy access to e-Databases, eJournals, Clinics, eBooks, Procedure videos, Faculty Publications, e-Thesis, e-Question Banks, Training & Lecture videos, etc. along with necessary Search Engines. It allows Users to Access, Organize, Share, Read Offline, send Article Requests at their convenience.

Library conducts specialty specific / individual user trainings pertaining to ‘information search and retrieval’ in PubMed, BioMedCentral, Ovid, Cochrane Library, Google Scholar, Boolean Logic, PICO, Citation Generator, Mendeley, applications of available resources, etc. Library also assists Users in publishing research i.e. journal information, author guidelines, citation generator, locating authentic URLs, finding relevant articles and so on.

Library persistently explores digital platforms to get connected with beloved Users in terms of new arrivals, updates, useful resources, Apps & OPAC, trainings, search tips, library highlights, forthcoming activities, etc. As a result, Post-COVID library witnessed digital transformation in information exchange and usage. Users are willing to carry personal e-pocket Library. Particularly, Library activities contribute to the Hospital’s commitment for ‘Rational Ethical Medical Services of Highest Quality’.
